Price Stores, a 75-year tradition in Dayton for Men's Clothing, Tuxedos, Bridal, and Prom, will close its doors on December 31, 2025. The decision comes after 75 years of serving generations of families across the Miami Valley.

Founded in Downtown Dayton, at the brightest corner of 4th & Jefferson, Price Stores built its reputation on expert tailoring, current styles, and a level of customer service that made the business a Dayton tradition for businessmen, entertainers, weddings, graduations, proms, and even a future President in 1964!

We are profoundly grateful to the Dayton community for trusting us for so many years. Closing is bittersweet, but we celebrate the legacy we have built together. Edd and Nancy Wimsatt purchased the business in 1996. We closed the Bridal & Prom shop in 2014 when Nancy retired. Now it is time for Edd to retire.

Mr. Wimsatt will turn 76 on the last day of Price Stores' operation, 12/30/25.

We are looking for the next family to continue the Price Store tradition, but at this time there have been no serious offers.

This has been a remarkable experience. We have had the greatest customers and employees over the years. However, all good things must come to an end.

We want this final chapter to be a celebration...of our customers, employees, and the community that made Price Stores possible for almost 76 years!
